Dark (post fermented) teas from Hunan has a long history as a tribute tea and health tonic. Being a post-fermented (via microbial break-down) tea, it has benefits of lowering cholesterol, dissolution of fats and general weight-loss.
Aged (2012) Tian Jian Dark Tea is produced in An Hua village, Hunan Province. The fresh tea leaves picked in the spring. After fermentation, it is dried over pine fire. The tea liquid is clean , dark red, and tastes rich mellow pine forest aroma , long lingering.
